Cain Hoy Enterprises, LLC (“Cain Hoy”), the private investment company, has appointed Neil Barber to the role of Leasing Director.
Neil will focus specifically on retail leasing at Islington Square, the £500 million, 4.5-acre mixed-use destination in London’s N1 that Cain Hoy is developing in conjunction with Sager Group. The development, which is anchored by early lettings to The Lounge by Odeon and premium fitness club operator Third Space, includes over 175,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space and is due for completion in 2018.
Neil brings with him 25 years of retail leasing experience having worked in his early years with Churston Heard and then with developer Lendlease, Grosvenor and, most recently, MGPA and, following its acquisition, BlackRock, where he was Vice President of Real Estate.
Neil Barber said:
“This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the property industry’s most dynamic businesses and play a leading role in curating the retail and leisure offer at Islington Square, one of London’s largest new mixed-use developments. I look forward to working with the team on this and future projects.”
Commenting on the appointment, Jonathan Goldstein, Chief Executive of Cain Hoy, said:
“Neil has vast experience heading up leasing activity for a range of well-respected property companies and creating attractive retail and leisure destinations. With high-quality occupiers already confirmed at Islington Square and strong ongoing interest, Neil’s expertise will bolster the team as we look to create a truly exceptional mixed-use offering.”
