Jonathan co-founded Cain International in 2014 and has since built it into a privately held real estate investment firm with $5.9 billion of debt and equity transactions in Europe and the United States. Under his leadership, Cain International was named Property Week’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017.
Prior to Cain International, Jonathan was Head of European Real Estate and Direct Investments at Guggenheim Partners, the global investment and advisory firm. He previously served for seven years as Deputy Chief Executive of Heron International, where he led substantial real estate transactions in the UK and Europe and played a central role in Rontec’s 2011 acquisition of 500 Total petrol stations and the majority of its downstream business in the UK.
Prior to Heron, Jonathan worked at Olswang LLP, an award-winning international law firm. He became a partner at age 28 and one of the youngest ever chief executive of a city law firm at age 32. Under his stewardship, the firm’s turnover grew significantly and it was awarded ‘Law Firm of the Year’ on multiple occasions. During that time, the firm also expanded operations into Belgium and Germany and entered into a global alliance with Greenberg Traurig.
Jonathan currently serves as the Chair of the Jewish Leadership Council, the umbrella organisation of the UK Jewish community. He is also the Chair of the Trust of the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, a trustee of The Gerald & Gail Ronson Family Foundation and an Honorary President of Camp Simcha. He previously served as the Chair of Partnerships for Jewish Schools (PaJeS), the Vice-Chair of Jewish Care and Chair of Governors of Kerem School in Hampstead Garden Suburb. Jonathan holds a law degree from the University of Manchester and qualified as a solicitor in 1988.

Before joining Cain International, Chris was an associate at CenterCap Securities, a boutique investment bank, where he focused on structuring and executing investments in the real estate and financial services sectors. Prior to CenterCap, Chris was with CSV Capital, underwriting distressed debt and opportunistic equity investments in real estate.

Daniel joined Cain International in 2017 and leads the firm's investment origination and execution activities across Continental Europe.
Daniel has over 20 years of real estate experience across Continental Europe. Prior to joining Cain International, Daniel was a managing director at Tristan Capital Partners for seven years, where he sourced and closed over €2.5 billion of transactions. Before that, Daniel spent five years with MGPA, where he was head of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), specialising in regional acquisitions, which amounted to over €1.5 billion over the five-year period. Priot to MGPA, Daniel worked at Heitman for three years where his role included managing acquisitions for a pan-European logistics fund.
In February 2010, Daniel was awarded Professional of the Year at the CEE Retail Awards. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Anderson and holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Leeds.

Before joining Cain International, Danielle worked for McGraw Hill Education as a coordinator where she was responsible for supporting their Specialized Products Group in the Higher Education division. Prior to MHE, Danielle worked for Works By Women as an associate, where she was responsible for their social media channels, planning promotional events, writing the weekly external newsletter, and assisting the CEO.
Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts in theatre and film from the University of Toronto and a certificate in Advanced Actor Training from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Danielle is an award-winning playwright, and has been involved in the acting world performing Off-Broadway, in TV and film.

In September 2017, Devon joined Cain International as a team assistant. She brings with her nearly five years of experience in operations management.
Previously, Devon worked at Lenox Advisors, having joined from Northwestern Mutual, where she held the role of associate financial representative.
Devon also donates her time to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Arkansas, acting on the Honorary Race Committee from 2013-2015 and as 2014 Survivor Race Chair. In 2014, Devon earned the title of Hot Pink Hero for individual fundraising. She holds a degree in history from the University of Arkansas.

Elizabeth joined Cain International as its general counsel in 2017 and is responsible for the firm’s legal and compliance matters. She was instrumental in preparing the firm for registration as a registered investment adviser with the SEC and became the firm’s chief compliance officer in 2018.
Before joining Cain International, Elizabeth was in-house counsel at Eldridge Industries, where she structured complex transactions on behalf of portfolio companies spanning a wide range of industries including real estate, hospitality, entertainment, media and insurance.
Prior to Eldridge Industries, Elizabeth was in-house counsel at Cain Hoy Enterprises, where she drafted and negotiated transaction documentation in connection with debt and equity real estate investments and advised on and supported the origination of over $1bn in construction and development finance. Elizabeth also structured the acquisition of controlling and minority stakes in strategic joint ventures and operating businesses. Elizabeth began her legal career on the leveraged credit desk at Guggenheim Investments, the global asset management and investment advisory division of Guggenheim Partners.
Elizabeth has a Bachelor of Arts in English from The George Washington University and a Juris Doctor from The University of Richmond. She was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 2010 and is registered as in-house counsel in New York. She is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.

Prior to this Ella was the receptionist at Cain International's London headquarters. Before joining Cain International, she spent 18 months travelling the world, spending time in New Zealand, Australia, and South East Asia. In Cambodia, Ella volunteered at a local school, where she taught English as a foreign language.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in photography from Southampton Solent University.

Ellen joined Cain International as office manager in August 2016. Ellen brings with her years of experience as an administrator, having previously worked as a team assistant for Bird & Bird LLP in their intellectual property department.
Prior to this, Ellen spent 13 years as a personal assistant to the managing director of Foster & Cranfield, a specialist financial auctioneer.
Ellen’s proudest moment, outside of the office, is having performed in the opening and closing ceremonies of the London 2012 Olympics.

Before working in London, Ellie trained at The Centre – Performing Arts College, where she studied dance and musical theatre.

Eric joined Cain International’s New York office as a principal in April 2017. He plays a key role in real estate asset management and acquisitions of development assets in the United States. Eric brings 15 years of experience in real estate acquisitions across the world, both debt and equity related. He has had responsibilities in real estate asset management and development.
Eric’s previous roles include senior vice president at The Witkoff Group, a US real estate investment and management company, where he evaluated and structured real estate equity investments, managed operations with joint venture partners, supported capital raising and oversaw asset management mainly on commercial real estate.
Prior to The Witkoff Group, Eric was a director at Strategic Value Partners, a privately owned $4bn investment fund manager focused on distressed and deep value opportunities, where his role was to source and evaluate real estate debt investments and value assets across all major property classes. He was also a vice president at Starwood Capital Group and an associate at Brown Brothers Harriman.
Eric holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California (Berkeley) and a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics, magna cum laude, from Colgate University.

Since joining Cain International in 2015, Gary has overseen all finance aspects of the company’s corporate UK and European entities, including The Stage and South Audley Street.
Previously, Gary spent six years at TH Real Estate, acting as both European retail fund senior finance manager and corporate financial controller. Before this, Gary was senior management accountant at BNP Paribas, responsible for internal IT development functions financial control and reporting. Gary began his career at the Bank of America, where he spent four years specialising in financial and reporting analytics.
Gary has been a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants since 2007; he holds a BA in accounting and finance from Liverpool John Moores University.

Gena joined Cain International in 2018 as the firm’s senior compliance officer.
Before joining Cain International, Gena worked as vice president of compliance at The Riverside Company, a New York private equity firm, for more than 18 months. Prior to The Riverside Company, Gena spent nearly three years as assistant vice president of Ascendant Compliance Management.
Gena holds a Juris Doctor in business and financial services transactions and international law from Suffolk University Law School and a LLM in banking and finance law from Boston University School of Law. She was admitted to both the Massachusetts and Nevada Bars and became a certified anti-money laundering specialist in 2016.

Graham joined Cain International in 2018. Graham is involved in every aspect of the investment process and is integral to sourcing, underwriting, negotiating and closing deals. He has over 18 years of experience in real estate, debt investment and banking.
Before joining Cain International, Graham was a director on Barclay Bank’s specialist real estate team. Prior to his appointment to the specialist real estate team, he served as a director in the structure property debt finance team, a director within the business support & recoveries team, and an associate director within the PFI & structured project finance team.
Graham is an associate member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and completed London Business School’s Corporate Finance Learning Programme.

John joined Cain International in 2014. He is responsible for helping to build the firm’s franchise, primarily focusing on structured debt provision within the UK, US and Europe. John has over 30 years of experience in real estate debt lending and has been involved in underwriting many billions in debt transactions.
John’s previous roles include Director in Global Real Estate and Infrastructure businesses at Guggenheim Investments, a global investment and advisory firm with more than $260bn in assets under management. Before that, he was Head of UK Real Estate Finance at Landesbank Baden-Wurttemberg (LBBW), where he oversaw the bank’s re-entry into the UK lending market and helped arrange a number of large bilateral loans, a significant change from the bank’s previous strategy of pursuing largely participative relationships.
Prior to LBBW, he was Senior Director at Santander UK where he helped create a new Corporate Real Estate lending business with a book approaching £3bn in commitments. John held positions at Deutsche Postbank London and Bank of Scotland before joining Santander UK.
John is a qualified FA coach and manages a local girls’ under-18 team for Flitwick Eagles FC, an accredited FA partner club and Silver Arsenal FC partner in the Bedfordshire League.

Justin joined Cain International in 2019 and is responsible for overseeing and executing the development of the businesses Miami portfolio, which includes 830 Brickell, Missoni Baia and Una Residences. Throughout his career, Justin has worked on over $5 billion of real estate transactions.
Justin's previous roles include vice president at Imperial Companies, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing new transactions with a focus on new development or substantial redevelopment.
Prior to Imperial Companies, Justin spent nearly five years at Savanna Real Estate Fund, a New York City focused owner, operator and developer.
Justin holds a Masters of Commerce from the University of Virgina and a Bachelor’s of Science in economics from Boston College. He is also a board member of the McIntire School of Commerce Young Alumni Council and an active member of PropTech Angels.

Kimberly Weinberg is a senior financial controller responsible for the accounting and reporting of the firm. She has been with the company since its inception.
Prior to joining Cain International, Kimberly was an assistant controller at Guggenheim Partners, in the corporate accounting group. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Assurance department. Kimberly is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
She graduated from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, with both a BBA and a Master’s degree in accounting.

Liam joined Cain International as a senior vice president in 2017 and is responsible for the management of investments and transactions for heavy refurbishment or development projects across the UK and Europe.
Before joining Cain International, Liam was a vice president at BlackRock, where his work focused on transactions and development consultancy, buying, delivering and selling development or heavy refurbishment projects across a UK core plus fund and pan-European opportunistic funds. Prior to BlackRock, Liam spent time at MGPA and Deloitte.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry with a specialisation in medicinal chemistry from the University of Warwick.

Marina joined Cain International in 2017 and specialises in real estate debt.
Before joining Cain International, she worked at Contour Capital where she focused on mezzanine financing for developments in London and the South East.
She holds a Master of Science in real estate from the University of Reading, as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from the International Real Estate Business School, University Regensburg.

In November 2016, Marta joined Cain International as a finance manager and is responsible primarily for the accounts of The Stage.
Previously, Marta worked as a financial controller for Lands Improvement Holdings, where she was involved in due diligence leading to the sale of the group to the new investor. Prior to this, Marta gained experience in fund finance management at TH Real Estate and BlackRock.
Marta holds a BA in finance and banking from the Warsaw School of Economics, as well as an MA in finance and accounting from Kozminsky University, Poland. She is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Matt joined Cain International in 2017 and is responsible for the execution of equity investments, including underwriting, due diligence, closing, and asset management.
Before joining Cain International, Matt was a member of the real estate investment team at Cerberus Capital Management. Prior to Cerberus, he began his career in Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investing Group, working on acquisitions for its MSREF and PRIME funds.
Matt graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and urban studies and a minor in real estate.

Matteo joined Cain International in 2019 and specialises in real estate equity investment and asset management across Europe.
Before joining Cain International, Matteo worked at Cromwell Property Group where he helped manage a 52-asset, €650 million value-add fund spanning the retail, logistics and commercial sectors. He also assisted in the acquisition of office and logistics assets totalling €350 million across Finland and France. Prior to Cromwell, Matteo held a position at BNP Paribas in London.
Matteo holds a Master of Science in structural engineering from UNSW Australia and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Surrey. He is fluent in Italian.

Before joining Cain International, Matteo was a vice president of global real estate and infrastructure at Guggenheim Investments. Prior to Guggenheim, he worked as a banker within the real estate finance teams at Citi, Santander and Royal Bank of Scotland for nine years. During this period, Matteo focused on structuring and executing real estate development loans and pan-European CMBS transactions.

Matthew joined Cain International in 2017 and specialises in origination, execution and asset management of US equity and debt investments throughout.
Before joining Cain International, Matthew was a member of the investment team at Brockton Capital, where he engaged in investment opportunities across a range of sectors including office, residential, industrial, retail and data centres. Prior to Brockton, Matthew was based in New York as a member of UBS's foreign exchange trading desk, assisting hedge funds and institutions in the formation and implementation of macro strategies.
Matthew graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in finance.

Megan holds an economics degree from the University of Cardiff. She is an enthusiastic runner having recently participated in the London Marathon to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Nadine joined Cain International in 2019 to assist in expanding Cain’s west coast platform. Her primary responsibilities include the execution of One Beverly Hills, the management of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hilton, as well as underwriting new acquisitions.
Prior to joining Cain International, Nadine was an analyst at Madison International Realty, where she underwrote the acquisition of Oslo Bjorvika, a 400K SF retail development in Oslo, Norway. Prior to Madison, Nadine worked for TF Cornerstone as an analyst on the Grand Hyatt Redevelopment, a 2M SF mixed-use project utilizing the air rights above Grand Central Station in New York.
Nadine received a Bachelor of Science in business management from King’s College London.

Neil is Cain International’s leasing director, specialising in retail. Having joined Cain International in February 2017, Neil is heavily involved in the Islington Square project.
Previously, Neil was Head of Retail Leasing at Grosvenor, where he was responsible for the leasing of the 1.65m sq ft Liverpool One retail and leisure development and the Grand Arcade 450,000 sq ft shopping centre in Cambridge. Whilst at Lend Lease, Neil delivered and managed the leasing programme for Bluewater, Touchwood shopping centre Solihull and Chapelfield Norwich shopping centres. Neil has also held vice president roles at MGPA, and then BlackRock.
Neil is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and earned a BSc in urban estate surveying.

Niall joined Cain International in 2018 and specialises in real estate equity asset and development management across Europe.
Before joining Cain International, Niall worked as a transactions associate for Cavendo AB in Stockholm, where he underwrote Swedish and Finnish investments. Prior to Cavendo, Niall spent more than three years at Hines as an analyst working on investments and developments in Ireland.
Niall holds a Master of Arts in modern languages from the University of Cambridge. Niall is fluent in German, Spanish and French.

Nicole joined Cain International in 2016 and specialises in real estate equity investments, across Europe. During her time with the firm, Nicole has worked across both the UK and continental Europe. She has experience in sourcing and executing transactions, as well as asset management.
Before joining Cain International, Nicole worked at Aprirose, where she focused on UK income, value-add and development opportunities. Prior to Aprirose, Nicole held positions with Triovest Realty Advisors and Colliers International, where she helped underwrite over $2B worth of real estate investment opportunities across retail, office and industrial on behalf of Canadian pension funds.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts in honors business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business and a postgraduate certificate in real property valuation from the University of British Columbia. She is fluent in Spanish and Romanian.

Peter joined Cain International in early 2016 and is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial matters. Peter has more than 10 years’ experience in the financial industry, during which he has worked across the alternative asset management spectrum including private equity, complex credit, real estate financing and long-short equity.
Peter’s previous roles include finance director at Renshaw Bay, an alternative asset manager established in 2011 to focus on credit related strategies, where he was a member of the partnership and the firm’s governing body, co-chair of the operating committee and chair of the firm’s valuation committee. He also managed the finance and operations functions. Before that, Peter was fund financial controller at CapVest, a London-based private equity investment manager focusing on mid-market leverage buyouts and leverage buyout financing. Prior to CapVest, Peter held positions with Wingrave Yeats, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Lloyds Bank.
Peter holds a Bachelor’s degree in geography from Keble College, University of Oxford. He is a Chartered Accountant and has been admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Richard joined Cain International in 2015 and is responsible for leading the firm’s investment and asset management activities across Europe. Since 2015 Richard has built an experienced multi-disciplined team, overseen the development of the UK portfolio and expanded the firm into Continental Europe.
Prior to joining Cain International, Richard was managing director at Oxford Properties the real estate arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS), the C$97 billion (December 2018) Canadian Pension Plan. Richard was a founding member of the Oxford Properties European team and between 2010 and 2015 was responsible for Investment and asset management activities, including three development partnerships with British Land, Brookfield and The Crown Estate and the acquisition of five central London office and retail investments and a large South Eastern England office park.
Before Oxford, Richard was European development director at MGPA, where he had responsibility for the funds development and asset management activities across Europe including France, Poland and the UK. In addition, Richard has held senior positions with Lend Lease, the Australian property group, where he worked in the UK, Germany, Spain and Poland and also with Laing O’Rourke, the international construction group.

Robert joined Cain International as a principal in 2015 and focuses on the company's core real estate development activities, including The Stage, the £750m GDV project in Shoreditch. He has more than 20 years of real estate experience.
Before joining Cain International, he spent ten years at Hammerson PLC, a FTSE 100 company, and managed large-scale mixed-use development and investment opportunities within Central London. These include London Wall Place, Bishopsgate Goodsyard and 60 Threadneedle Street – Hammerson. Prior to Hammerson, Robert held positions with Derwent London Plc and Allsop.
He is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in land management from the University of Portsmouth and is a Liveryman of the City of London.

Sally joined Cain International in 2019 to produce and maintain Cain’s management accounts. She is responsible for assisting with financial reporting as well as providing technical accounting support.
Before joining Cain International, Sally worked for Ernst & Young, LLP as a staff in the assurance division, where she was responsible for testing corporate account areas for an international bank audit.
Sally holds Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and information technology from the University of Virginia. She is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of New York.

Sam joined Cain International in 2019. He provides support to the US and UK teams on all legal matters related to real estate equity and debt and private equity transactions.
Before joining Cain International, Sam was Associate General Counsel of Express Trade Capital, an international trade finance firm. Prior to Express, Sam was a federal law clerk for the United States Court of International Trade, as well as an executive at UJA-Federation of New York.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago, and a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Sophie joined Cain International in August 2018 as a team assistant supporting the Equity Investment team in London.
Before joining Cain International, she worked at Ariella Fashion's as office manager and personal assistant to the CEO, and subsequently becoming the company’s in-house public relations manager. Prior to Ariella Fashions, she spent a year and a half as a receptionist at McLaren Construction group. Sophie began her career as an actress.

Tanja joined Cain International in 2015 and plays a key role in the company’s real estate debt team.
Before joining Cain International, Tanja spent two years in the debt investments and special situations team at LaSalle Investment Management, underwriting real estate mezzanine and whole loan transactions. Prior to LaSalle, Tanja worked in real estate asset and investment management and real estate consultancy in a number of European countries.
Tanja is an Austrian national and a native German speaker, as well as being fluent in English and French. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, in real estate and facility management from Kufstein University of Applied Sciences and a Master of Science, with distinction, in real estate finance from the University of Reading.

Tiffany joined Cain International in 2019 as an analyst on the US investment team. She is responsible for the underwriting of debt and equity transactions in gateway cities across the US, as well as the ongoing monitoring of existing investments.

Tim joined Cain International in 2018 and specialises in real estate equity investments across the UK and Europe. He has experience in analysis, underwriting and executing transactions.
Before joining Cain International, Tim worked with EY’s real estate corporate finance team for five years and was part of the M&A and capital raising team advising institutional and private companies including Patron Capital, Ladbrokes plc, Gala Coral Group Ltd., Fairhome Group plc, and Patrizia Immobilien AG.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in accounting and finance from the University of Warwick and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2016.

Tom joined Cain International in 2020 specialising in UK and European equity investment and asset management.
Before joining Cain International, Tom worked for The Blackstone Group as a portfolio manager. He was responsible for the asset management of large mixed-use estates and office assets across the UK and Europe, with a primary focus on central London. Prior to that, Tom worked for Workman LLP as a senior surveyor.
Tom is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in geography from The University of Exeter, specialising in human geography, as well as a post graduate diploma in surveying from the University of Reading.

Veronika joined Cain International in 2018 as an assistant accountant working across a range of projects including The Stage, Islington Square and South Audley.
Before joining Cain International, Veronika spent two years as an analyst at One LDN, a boutique gym and fitness company. Prior to One LDN, Veronika also worked at Karhoo, a provider of transportation technology and Onfido Background Checks.
Veronika holds a Master of Science in management with finance from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Arts in politics and modern languages from the University of Essex. She is an ardent rower and competes with the Sons of the Thames Rowing Club.

Yoni joined Cain International in 2017 to grow the firm's capital raising and public relations functions. Working alongside the CEO and key senior executives, Yoni is responsible for originating and maintaining the firm's strategic relationships as well as supporting product development and corporate communications.
Before joining Cain International, Yoni worked for Regent Capital, a boutique investment firm that offers tailored products in commercial property, media, and alternative energy. Prior to Regent Capital, he spent nearly a decade working in the international affairs and public policy arenas in the UK, the US and the Middle East, including roles as Head of Policy at the Jewish Leadership Council and as communications adviser to Israel’s ambassador to the UK. In 2010, Yoni worked at the White House, in the Office of the Chief of Staff to Vice President Joe Biden.
Yoni has a Master of Science in global politics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in international relations and Middle Eastern studies from Hebrew University. In 2000, Yoni co-founded "Wheels of Love," an annual charity bike ride which raises over $2m annually to support ALYN Hospital, an internationally renowned paediatric and adolescent rehabilitation facility in Israel.
