In April 2021, Cain International agreed a £40.3M loan with Vita Group to finance the development of a 401-bed student accommodation project located in Cardiff, Wales.
At the time of the loan, the University of Cardiff had ~39,000 students, 8,400 of which were international, making it the ninth largest university in the U.K. by number of students. It was also one of the 24 leading U.K. universities that form the Russell Group and was ranked within the top 160 universities in the world in 2021.
The loan was fully repaid in 2022 following completion of the development.
