Cain is a privately held firm specialising in real estate investment solutions. The
firm currently manages over $13.8 billion in Gross Asset Value. Its global
portfolio spans a diverse range of sectors, with a focus on residential,
hospitality, commercial, mixe d-use developments and leading brands.
Cain is a partnership between its CEO, Jonathan Goldstein, and Eldridge
Industries.
Responsibilities:
- Support hospitality asset management activities, including business plan
execution, performance tracking, capital expenditure planning, property
valuations, and reporting to stakeholders. - Lead financial analysis and underwriting for hospitality acquisitions,
renovations, development, and operational investments – including hotels
and mixed-use properties. - Develop and maintain detailed cash flow models for existing assets and
new hospitality acquisitions, incorporating benchmarking, ROI analyses,
and value enhancement opportunities. - Prepare investment committee materials for new hospitality investments
across the capital stack. - Participate in deal screening, evaluating potential hospitality investments
based on location, brand fit, market demand, and operational upside. - Monitor and report on market trends affecting hospitality assets
particularly focused on markets we currently operate along with target
markets – Stay ahead of supply and demand trends and appraised of market
transaction data to inform strategic decisions. - Assist with hospitality transactions, including construction financing,
refinancing, recapitalisation, and asset sales – managing the process, due
diligence rooms, workstreams trackers, and closing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a major in real estate,
economics, or finance preferred. - Ideally 1 -3 years of commercial real estate or finance experience with an
investment firm, REIT, brokerage, bank, real estate advisor, or insurance
Hospitality experience preferred. - Excellent financial modelling skills, including understanding structures of
cash flow models. - Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report
financial analyses in concise written and verbal formats. - Sound understanding of hospitality economic and investment theory and
- Superior writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to gather, organize, coordinate, and interpret data from varying
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail -oriented individual with a commitment
to providing a high-quality work product. - Strong research and problem -solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and to proactively seek new responsibilities.
- Well organized, accurate, detail oriented and thorough, and able to
consistently meet deadlines. - Ability to professionally interact with on -site staff, senior management and
third-party clients. - Flexibility in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
