28 October 2020, Los Angeles, CA – Cain International, the privately held real estate investment firm operating in the US and Europe, today has announced that Nick Franklin has joined the business as Senior Managing Director. With nearly 30 years of experience, Nick will be leading from the firm’s Los Angeles office and will be responsible for overseeing the operations and growth of the firm’s US private equity portfolio which includes The St. James, Competitive Socialising and The AllBright.
Franklin brings a wealth of strategic insight, global operations expertise, and business acumen following a long and distinguished career at The Walt Disney Company, as well as senior leadership roles at other public and private companies. During his 18-year tenure at Disney, Nick held a wide range of senior leadership roles primarily in Disney’s Parks, Resorts and Experiences segment. Franklin’s portfolio included global strategy, business and real estate development, a collection of global of theme park and other hospitality operations, and the MyMagic+/Next Generation Experience guest experience transformation. Nick led large and small global teams and served on the Executive Committee as one of the segment’s top leaders. Immediately prior to joining Cain, Nick furthered his real estate, sports and hospitality expertise as President, Kelly Slater Wave Company, where he focused on driving growth and development of the business globally. He has also previously served as EVP, Strategic Operations for KB Home, one of the largest home builders in the United States.
