Cain Adds Jamie’s Italian to Brava Hospitality Platform
Addition follows successful repositioning of Prezzo Italian
5 DECEMBER 2025, LONDON – Cain, the global investment firm led by Jonathan Goldstein, has today announced the addition of Jamie’s Italian to its Brava Hospitality platform, marking the brand’s return to the UK market via a new partnership with Jamie Oliver. It will sit alongside Prezzo Italian as part of Brava’s expanding portfolio.
The addition of Jamie’s Italian represents a significant step for Brava and the wider UK casual dining landscape. While the brand has been absent from the domestic market since 2019, it continues to operate across more than 30 locations in 15 countries worldwide. The first new UK site is scheduled to open on Irving Street near Leicester Square in early 2026, with further locations already identified. The expansion is expected to create more than 500 jobs, with scope for up to 40 UK restaurants over time.
Brava Hospitality was established in September 2025 to back and scale UK hospitality brands with community resonance and strong growth potential, following the successful repositioning of Prezzo to Prezzo Italian. Cain initially invested in Prezzo in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 hospitality crisis, which preserved the business and protected thousands of jobs. Led by James Brown, former CEO of BrewDog Bars, Prezzo’s strategic repositioning included a rebrand to Prezzo Italian, evolved menu and operational reset, with performance now tracking ahead of wider sector benchmarks.
Prezzo Italian will continue its rollout of the refreshed concept as a part of the repositioning, while Brava Hospitality is expected to add additional dining brands in the coming years as the platform expands.
Jonathan Goldstein, CEO of Cain, said:
“With Brava, we are backing brands that add cultural and community value to high streets across the country. Jamie Oliver has expanded the way people and families engage with food in Britain, and has built a global brand with enduring appeal that we believe will translate strongly across UK high streets. We are thrilled to partner with him in bringing Jamie’s Italian back as part of Brava’s growth strategy.”
Jamie Oliver said:
“As a chef, having the chance to return to the high street is incredibly important to me. I believe the mid-market needs excitement, surprise and delight and that’s exactly what I am planning on delivering. Eating out is a treat but I believe it should offer value for money with higher welfare sourcing. I will drive the menus, make sure the sourcing is right, the staff training and ensure the look and feel of the restaurant is brought to life in the right way. All the effort, time, love and attention will be the same as before.”
James Brown, CEO of Brava Hospitality, said:
“At Brava, our focus is to invest in brands where food, people and purpose come together. Jamie’s Italian has meaningful recognition and customer affection, and we believe it can once again be a defining presence in British dining.”
