Cain Reaches Practical Completion at Erfurt Logistics Asset in Germany
Cain, the global real estate investment manager, has reached practical completion of its logistics asset in Erfurt, Germany, delivered in partnership with NVELOP Real Estate.
The full scheme has now been completed with delivery of the final warehouse in just eight months. The scheme delivers approximately 59,188 sq m of high-specification space across an existing and new build logistics facility, mezzanine storage and office accommodation. Located at Joseph-Meyer-Strasse 7, three minutes from the A71 motorway, the asset occupies a prime position within Germany’s established logistics corridor.
The development has been delivered to strong sustainability credentials, targeting DGNB Platinum certification for the new build (with the existing building certified DGNB Gold). The asset incorporates 100% PV roof coverage, fossil-free heating via heat pump technology, EV charging infrastructure and smart metering.
Dominic Higgitt, Senior Associate at Cain, commented: “Reaching practical completion, with the final warehouse delivered in just eight months is a significant milestone and reflects the strength of our partnership with NVELOP and the wider delivery team. We are pleased to reach this milestone by delivering high-quality, sustainable logistics space in a prime central German location.”
Cain and NVELOP’s lead marketing agent for the scheme is CBRE Germany.
